European MacDev 2009 Conference Now Open for Bookings

Bookings have now opened for the inaugural MacDev (link no longer available) developer conference, which runs between the 16th and 17th April, 2009, in Hatfield, England. The conference, which is being put on by The Mac Developer Network (link no longer available) — makers of such fine podcasts (link no longer available) as Late Night Cocoa and the Mac Developer RoundTable — will host speakers from around the world, covering a wide range of subjects of interest to Mac and iPhone developers. There will also be three workshops (link no longer available) held the day before the conference, on User Interfaces (Mike Lee), Core Data (Marcus Zarra), and iPhone Development (Bill Dudney).

There are eleven 1 hour talks (link no longer available) scheduled, from as many talented European and US-based developers (link no longer available). I’ll be talking myself about software performance, and discussing our experiences at MacResearch with OpenMacGrid, as well as publicly what is coming in Snow Leopard.

MacDev 2009 looks to be a useful, and no doubt fun, meeting of European and US-based Mac developers, and is certainly unique in its location. If you are based in England, or on continental Europe, consider making the trip.
